“ It was my first visit to SENTIAMO, a French restaurant tucked away on a quiet street in Kawagoe. From the first dish to the final dessert, the aromas, temperatures, and textures were beautifully connected, and it was a wonderful experience in which the entire course unfolded like a single story. Particularly memorable were the first dish, a layered scallop, sea urchin, and caviar, and the dish that combined Okinawan Onihira horse mackerel with green curry and bouillabaisse. The completely different aromas complemented each other seamlessly, and I could really feel the chef's skill in the composition that brought out the natural charm of the ingredients. The deep aroma of a dish of matsutake, kotake, and black maitake mushrooms, the profound umami of Tamashamou (Japanese quail), Hyuga chicken, foie gras, and raspberry, and the fragrant aroma of Yamagata beef and chili peppers—all seemingly simple but actually complex layers—made for a truly pleasant aftertaste. The restaurant has a total of 20 seats, including 8 counter seats and private rooms. We especially recommend the counter seats, where you can watch the chef at work. You can enjoy a high-quality time concentrating on your food in a quiet atmosphere. This is definitely a restaurant to consider for a relaxing evening meal in Kawagoe. The course menu changes with the seasons, so I'd definitely like to visit again. ”
